Dog Sick Vomit
My dog is sick and vomiting!!?
My dog Fluffy is sick. He has vomited about six times, and hes being lazy and not eating. Yesterday he was fine, now he just started vomiting. Should I take him to the vet?? Any medications I should give him?? HELP!
I think he is all better now because he ate his dog food, drank water and is all hyper again. (The only part I don’t like)Trust me, if he had kept on vomiting I would have taken him to the vet.
Get him to a vet as soon as possible. While it is not uncommon for a dog to vomit, 6 times is something to be concerned about. Dehydration is something that become life threatening quickly.
As far as his being fine yesterday, there are many things his curious nature can get him into that can get him into trouble quickly. Several plants are toxic, like spider plants, poinsettia’s and lily’s. He may have eaten a frog or bug that have died from pesticide. Someone in your neighborhood could have careless with antifreeze.
For tonite, try to get him to take some milk. It will coat his stomach and give him some protection from whatever he has eaten. Pedialite or gatoraid can help him with dehydration, they both contain electrolytes.
Your regular vet will be open in just a few hours, it is best if he sees a Dr. who has experience with him. However, if you should note more serious complications, such as seizure activity, get him to an emergency vet as soon as possible.
